Filler Dissolver

“Hyaluronidase is an enzyme used to safely dissolve hyaluronic-acid fillers. It’s a great option for correcting migration, lumps, asymmetry, or results you’re not happy with. Results are typically noticeable quickly, and natural HA in the skin replenishes itself after treatment.”

What is Hyaluronidase?

Hyaluronidase is an enzyme used in aesthetic medicine to break down hyaluronic acid (HA)—the main ingredient in most dermal fillers. It works by dissolving HA molecules so the body can naturally clear them.

Why is Hyaluronidase Used?

Hyaluronidase is typically used for:

  • Correcting unwanted filler results Overfilled or “puffy” areas Asymmetry Lumps, nodules, or uneven texture

  • Managing filler migration When HA has shifted outside the intended treatment area (e.g., migrated lip filler)

  • Treating certain adverse events Hyaluronidase can be used by trained medical professionals to help manage filler-related complications such as vascular compromise. (You can state this factually without giving medical instructions.)

How Does It Work?

Hyaluronidase breaks down HA at the injection site, and results may be seen within minutes to hours, with full effects typically visible within 24–48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments you require will depend upon your treatment plan and goals. But, you can have more than one treatment. Once HA is dissolved, that filler does not come back. However, your body still naturally contains its own hyaluronic acid, and hyaluronidase does NOT permanently affect your natural HA. The body replenishes its own HA quickly.

Most providers recommend waiting several days to a couple of weeks after dissolving to allow tissues to settle before adding new filler.

When will I see results?

Results can be seen very quickly after initial swelling, etc.

Will It Dissolve All My Filler or Only Certain Areas?

This depends on: How much enzyme is used The location of the filler The type and density of the filler The injector can target specific areas, but small amounts of surrounding HA may also be affected—this is normal and often unnoticeable once swelling resolves.

What should I do after treatment?

Filler dissolver is considered safe and widely used in aesthetics when administered by qualified medical injectors. Common and temporary effects include:

  • Mild swelling
  • Redness
  • Bruising
  • Tenderness at the injection site
  • Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible, which is why medical evaluation is important before treatment.
